The Quebrada de Humahuaca in Jujuy was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on July 3, 2003, under the category of Cultural Landscape. This recognition highlights its exceptional value as an Andean corridor with 10,000 years of history, uniting pre-Hispanic and contemporary cultures along 150 km in Jujuy, Argentina.
Tilcara, in the heart of the Quebrada, is the ideal place to base yourself and explore the region. From Villa del Cielo, you can easily access emblematic landscapes, towns with identity, cultural and gastronomic offerings, local experiences and natural attractions that invite you to discover the best of northern Argentina.

Humahuaca, the historic heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, is a destination where time seems to stand still. Its cobblestone streets, colonial buildings, and the emblematic Cabildo with the figure of Saint Francis Solano reflect centuries of Andean history and tradition.

The Pucará de Tilcara is one of the most emblematic archaeological sites in Jujuy, an ancient pre-Hispanic settlement located on a hill in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, with structures, plazas and remains that tell the story of the life of the native peoples and their subsequent Inca occupation.

The High Altitude Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located next to the Pucará de Tilcara, situated at over 2,500 meters above sea level. It was conceived with a focus on conservation, research, and education about local biodiversity. Inaugurated in 1970 as part of an agreement between the University of Buenos Aires and the province of Jujuy, it covers approximately 3 hectares on land within the Huasamayo River basin.

The Tilcara Main Square Craft Fair is a must-see, where local artisans offer textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and traditional pieces that reflect the cultural identity of the Quebrada de Humahuaca.
